SOUND JOURNEYS

I offer GROUP SOUND JOURNEYS in some form approximately 3 times a month.

These are either in a Village Hall setting (where you lie down for a full immersive experience!) or in my Stamford practice (where you are seated in a small group – maximum 6 people)

GROUP SOUND JOURNEYS (1.5 hours)

This is a group experience, which you book in to as an individual.

It is held in a Village Hall or similar space, where you will find a spot to lie for the duration of the session.

Should you prefer to be seated in a chair for the session this is also fine; the effects are just the same, the only difference being is that some people can drift off to sleep which makes lying on the floor more supportive, should this be the case for you.

If you are happy to lie down for the session, you will need to bring a yoga mat, something comfy to lie on (some like a sleeping bag or equivalent for extra padding!), a pillow & a blanket.

Your body temperature may drop during the session as you relax more deeply, so bring layers to make sure you can adapt throughout for your own comfort.

Some like an eye pillow but this is entirely a personal choice & not essential.

Generally, it is more effective if you keep your eyes closed throughout the session as you will naturally go into a meditative state as the sounds/vibrations slow down your brain waves. This effortlessly shifts you out of the “beta” state (where we tend to be most of the time!) with the busy rapid pace of thoughts & being mentally engaged to the slower states where you will be resting but awake, maybe daydreaming or even accessing a different level of awareness.

Your body & mind will respond in the way that you need at that time so it will be different for you each time & your experience will be your own.

Bring a water bottle for your use as required. The effects will continue for the following 24 hours or so, so drink plenty of water (as it also has a detox effect on the cells) and do not go straight into physical exercise or any activity that is too strenuous immediately afterwards.

STAMFORD PRACTICE SMALL GROUP SEATED SESSIONS (1hr 15)

This is the same experience in terms of the Sound Journeys to the larger groups in the Village Hall. Ideal if you prefer the idea of being seated for the session. It is a warm, cosy space with a maximum of 6 people and are held approximately once a month. Bring yourself (& a water bottle). Blankets provided!

Stamford is an old town with limited parking, so the spaces immediately outside the house are only sometimes available. They are either for permit holders or can be used for a maximum of 2 hours.
